Concept:
As a private banking, Coutts offers a variety of products and campaigns which needed to be brought forward into the digital space in order for the target audience to understand and engage with the product and also the brand. Redesigning the Coutts website and making it intuitive and purposeful for the wider audience is the key point to make the Coutts stand out among its competitors and encourage younger generations to be part and supported with Coutts banking

Brief:
The current version of the Coutts website is compiled up of 200+ pages and comprises multiple categories that uses a wider colour scheme, this does not lend its purpose and it make the current Coutts website confusing and outdated. The&Partnership Edinburgh was briefed to redesign the current website, along with the other agencies to work on the content, tone of voice and developments.

Solution:

Recognising the important parts of the website, from the most visited, applications, product page are the key aspect to solve the problems and these also allows the team to utilize their expertise to create design solutions from mock-ups to prototype, contents and tone of voice that fully aligned with the Coutts brand. 

Understanding the hierarchy and creating user journeys with the UX architect to reinforce innovative and engaging experiences - this create an opportunity to reduce the pages from 200+ to less than 100+ pages. The wireframes are translated into a design layout, putting together a set of atoms to create a modules and create components and testing these using prototyping design tools and putting this all together as a complete design system that can be widely utilise to design and develop a page or a complete website.

Results:
The collaborations from the agencies and the client brought this project to life, from research, conceptual, creative input and technical skills have propelled this project to reach its completion. This project was well received by the clients and the stakeholders. The design system is the key tool to create responsive web pages for Coutts to implement the brand new look and feel and ultimately create an intuitive yet purposeful banking website.
