NatWest Group Illustrations
Agency: The&Partnership
Designing illustration work was one of the tasks I enjoyed during my time at The&Partnership and working for the client (Natwest Group brands) The illustrations can be varied, the spectrum is endless but the rules have to be implemented so that it is in keeping within the brands. These illustrations are most used for the website, apps and other marketing materials.
The New visual illustration made it possible to unite the three banking brands, Natwest, Royal Bank of Scotland and Ulster bank by using the same guidelines and look and feel. The illustrations move away from three dimensional effects and twill. Creating this using ruffle effects with 8 brand colours where it lends its personality and feel relatable.
The Old visual illustration for the Natwest is created using three dimensional effects and must use 4 different colours. The Royal Bank of Scotland uses twill to create a separation from one element to another, along with the colours to create a contrast. The Ulster Bank is rather flat, created using the ruffle effect and gradient, which is somehow similar to the new visual illustration.
